December 6, 2012 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. (December 6, 2012) - The Quad City Mallards have signed forward Anthony Perdicaro, the Mallards announced today.
Perdicaro, 23, joins the Mallards after scoring ten goals and totaling 17 points while piling up 109 penalty minutes in 41 games with the Rapid City Rush last season.
"Anthony is a good young player who was a significant contributor for a strong Rapid City club last year," said Mallards coach and general manager Terry Ruskowski. "He adds skill and size to our lineup and gives us more depth up front as well."
Now in his fourth season, the 6' 2", 190-pound Perdicaro, broke into professional hockey in 2009-10 when he saw action for the International Hockey League's Port Huron Icehawks and the ECHL's Toledo Walleye. The East Rockaway, New York, native then scored 22 goals and notched 35 points in 37 games with the Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League in 2010-11.
Perdicaro completed a three-year junior career- during which he skated in the Ontario, United States, British Columbia and Quebec leagues- with the BCHL's Cowichan Valley Capitals, for whom he scored 18 times and produced 40 points in 50 games in 2008-09.
The Mallards return to action on home ice against the Mavericks tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. Tomorrow evening will also see the Mallards team with Family Resources for the Family Resources Teddy Bear Toss Presented by Mix 96 and WOC News Talk 1420. Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to Friday's game and toss them onto the ice after the Mallards' first goal of that contest. The teddy bears will then be collected from the ice and distributed to children in need in the Quad Cities area by Family Resources.
Tickets for tomorrow night's game- as well as seats for all remaining Mallards regular season home games- can be purchased in person at the i wireless Center ticket office, at Ticketmaster outlets, through www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The ticket office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period.
The Mallards' new Partial Punch Plan is also still available. The Partial Punch Plan provides flexibility and affordability- each Punch Plan punch card can be redeemed for ten tickets- whether those tickets are for ten different games, all for the same game or anything in between- subject to availability. Partial Punch Plans can be had for as little as $70 for youth 12 and under. For more ticket package information, fans can call the Mallards at 309-277-1364.
