Madison Mallards News Release
Madison, WI - The Madison Mallards are excited to announce that they have renewed their partnership with Good Karma Broadcasting for a tenth consecutive year. The contract ensures that fans will once again be able to listen to all 70 Mallards games on FM 100.5 ESPN or via a live stream on espnmadison.com.
"ESPN Madison is very proud of our decade-long partnership with the Mallards," Good Karma General Manager Ken Rovak said. "Madison in the summertime is a special place and we're thrilled to be in the middle of it on-air, online and on-site."
Gabe Neitzel will return for his fourth season as the play-by-play radio announcer for the Mallards. Fans can expect to hear the same excitement and passion for the game of baseball that have come to characterize Neitzel's broadcasts in prior seasons with the team.
"With the way Vern, Connor and Steve do it, the game days are second to none," Neitzel said. "There's no place like it."
Neitzel will also bring "Mallards On Deck" before each game that will serve as a pregame show and will cover a variety of baseball topics around the nation while also updating fans on the latest Mallards news. Neitzel will do a postgame show after each Mallards game as well.
"It's a fantastic atmosphere and the people are great to work with," he said. "On top of everything else, the baseball is really good. It's a no-brainer to come back again."
Fans may have experience with FM 100.5 ESPN from the other popular sports broadcasts that the station carries. FM 100.5 ESPN also broadcasts the World Series, NCAA basketball, the Super Bowl, and both WIAA state tournaments for basketball and football. Among the most popular talk shows on the network is the nationally aired "Mike & Mike in the Morning" and the "World's Greatest Talk Show" hosted by Steve "The Homer" True.
The Mallards will host their season opener against the Eau Claire Express on May 29th at 7:05 pm at the "Duck Pond." Single-game tickets are on-sale now!
