Mallards, R.I.A. Federal Credit Union Team for Kids Fest Street Hockey Clinic

MOLINE, Ill. (September 3, 2015) - The Quad City Mallards will welcome Quad Cities area youth to the Kids Fest Street Hockey Clinic presented by R.I.A. Federal Credit Union on Saturday, September 26, the Mallards announced today.

Mallards players will tutor youngsters in the finer points of the game in the R.I.A. Federal Credit Union parking lot from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. R.I.A. Federal Credit Union is located at 4343 Utica Ridge Road in Bettendorf. The clinic is open to boys and girls from seven to 12 years of age.

"R.I.A. is proud to be the official credit union of the Quad City Mallards and we are looking forward to the upcoming season," said Jake Ward, vice president of marketing for RIA Federal Credit Union. "We are excited about the opportunity to help spread the great sport of hockey while also teaching families and kids the importance of saving money with our partnership!"

Sign-up for the clinic is free of charge to children who open (or have already opened) a Mallards Kids are Rewarded for Savings account at R.I.A. Opening an account also enrolls children in the R.I.A. Federal Credit Union Mallards Kids Club. Clinic sign-up is $20 for children who do not have a Kids are Rewarded for Savings account and likewise includes enrollment in the Mallards Kids Club.

"The Mallards are very fortunate to have such great partners as R.I.A. Federal Credit Union," said Bob McNamara, the team's president.  "It is going to be an exciting event for the Quad Cities and it will give kids a chance to learn the techniques and strategy of hockey from some of the best players in the world."
