Moline, Ill. (February 23, 2012)- The Quad City Mallards of the "AA" Central Hockey League today announced that Friday, March 2 will be Report Card Night when the Mallards face the Fort Wayne Komets at the i wireless Center at 7:05 P.M.
Students who earn an "A" grade or equivalent on their report cards will receive a free ticket to the Mallards game against Fort Wayne. Students who are not part of a traditional grading system can present a letter from a teacher or administrator indicating academic success in lieu of a report card to redeem their free ticket to the game. Students up to seniors in high school are eligible for the promotion. Report cards from the 2011-2012 academic school year are qualified to present for a free ticket.
Complimentary tickets can be redeemed directly from the i wireless Center box office on or before game night, or from the Mallards' front office before game night. The promotion is limited to one free ticket per student, good for lower or upper bowl seating to the Mallards March 2 game. Students, parents, teachers and school administrators can contact the Mallards at 309-277-1364 with questions.
"We are eager to implement this new promotion that encourages and rewards academic success," said Ryan Simmons, Mallards executive vice president. "This is a great addition to the two school programs we execute throughout the season. We are proud to offer opportunities for kids to earn tickets to Mallards games and look forward to filling the arena with area students March 2."
The Mallards will also be raffling a Prom Package at the March 2 game for area high school students. The package will include a dress from Hope's Bridal, a tux rental from Ducky's Formal Wear, dinner at Granite City and a hair and nail package from Capri College, valued at over $500.
The Mallards next play on home ice Tuesday, February 28 at 7:05 P.M. against the Fort Wayne Komets. It will be another "$2 Tuesday," with $2 soft drinks and beer available from all i wireless Center concession stands. Single game tickets for Tuesday night's game, March 2 Report Card Night and the Mallards' March 3 game featuring the visit of the Stanley Cup, are now available. Single game tickets are available at the i wireless Center box office, at Ticketmaster outlets, through www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period. Tickets for all home games are available for $12 in the upper level and $17 in the lower level and $25 for the first row along the glass for adults. Tickets for kids 12 and under are available for $5 off adult rates. In addition, tickets are available to military personnel for $2 off the regular adult rate.
