Rochester Knighthawks News Release

I really need help here from the fans. After our championship game I had my stick taken from the hallway of The Blue Cross Arena. I have had this stick for six years. It has great value to me and I would hope I could locate its whereabouts. As my teammates and fans know this stick would be useless to anyone else as it could pass for a women's field lacrosse stick. If anyone could locate it there would be no questions asked and I would replace the stick with a brand new Warrior head, mesh kit and titanium shaft. I assume this person who has my stick took it solely as a souvenir and hopefully they won't mind exchanging it. Your help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED as the World Games are starting in less than a week. Thank you all for the support as fans and I hope I can find my baby. Here's my email address: cmalawsky11@hotmail.com.

Thanks,

Curt Malawsky

ROCHESTER RATTLERS ACQUIRE JASON COFFMAN FROM LONG ISLAND

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rattlers announced Monday that they have acquired attackman Jason Coffman from the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse in exchange for Matt Hahn.

Jason joins his brother, Josh, as a member of the Rattlers. Jason Coffman was Long Island's first-round pick (fifth overall) in the 2003 MLL Supplemental Draft.

Coffman played at Division III Salisbury State from 1993-96, where he had one of the most storied careers in the history of college lacrosse. In his four seasons with the Sea Gulls, he amassed 249 goals and 202 assists for 451 points. All three totals are school records and his 451 points are an NCAA record.

The NCAA's all-time leading scorer also won numerous awards. He was the first player in NCAA Division III history to earn First Team All-American honors four times. From 1994-96, he was also named the Jack Turnbull Memorial Award winner, which is given to the outstanding attackman at the Division I, II and III levels. In 1994 and 1995, Coffman was named the USILA Division III Player of the Year as Salisbury State captured the Division III national championship both seasons. In '95, Coffman also earned Team MVP honors. On Dec. 5, 1997, Coffman had his No. 32 retired by Salisbury State.

In the trade, the Rattlers sent midfielder Matt Hahn to Long Island. Last season, the University of Maryland graduate played in 12 games for the Rattlers and registered 11 goals and three assists for 14 points.
