Corpus Christi Hooks News Release

POLITICALLY CORRECT - In an unprecedented move for Ryan Sanders Baseball, the Corpus Christi Hooks plan to announce their backing of a specific party and candidates in this year's elections.

Corpus Christi Hooks fans, sponsors and the media are urged to attend a press conference/rally at Whataburger Field Tuesday, April 1, at noon.

In return for their support and attendance, guests will enjoy the offerings of Brooks' Buffet, a new feature in Kieschnick's Korner. Free hot dogs, popcorn, soda, tea, water and beer will be available while quantities last.

"We've got some candidates that we're ready to support," said Hooks President J.J. Gottsch. "Affordable family entertainment has always been a staple of Ryan Sanders Baseball, and we feel like these candidates are ones that will lead that effort."

T-MINUS... - Just eight days and counting until Opening Day 2008! Join us at Whataburger Field on Thursday, April 3, for a 7:05 contest against the Tulsa Drillers. The Hooks face Tulsa again Friday and Saturday before Northwest Arkansas, the newest team in the Texas League, comes to town for a three-game series to close out the homestand.

Individual tickets are available online or at our box office. Full-season tickets and the Friday Fireworks Plus pack, with priority options for playoffs, discounted parking and access to the Cotton Club, feature the best entertainment value in the Coastal Bend. Take a look at our promotional schedule.

BIG MOVE TO THE SMALL SCREEN - Ryan Sanders Baseball and FSN Southwest/FSN Houston announced the regional broadcast of six Hooks and Express games this season. Both clubs face the Texas Rangers top two affiliates - the Frisco RoughRiders and Oklahoma RedHawks - in six of the televised contests.

SALUTE THE "W" - The Hooks and Whataburger challenge you to "Bring Home the W!" Register to raise the "W" flag after a Hooks win on Whataburger Fan Day each Wednesday home game. Contest winners receive four front-row tickets to a Wednesday game, parking pass, dinner for four (delivered to your seat) and one Hooks replica statue.
