American Idol's Asia'h Epperson to Perform at Hammons Field

The Springfield Cardinals are proud to welcome American Idol finalist Asia'h Epperson to Hammons Field. Asia'h, who grew up and currently lives in Joplin, will kick off this weekend's festivities at Hammons Field by singing the National Anthem on Friday night, prior to the Springfield Cardinals' game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

"This is gonna' be good," said Epperson. "The chance to perform live in front of the community...yeah...I'm real excited!"

"Asia'h has a lot great energy and we're honored and thrilled to have her at Hammons Field," said Cardinals' Manager of Public Relations Mike Lindskog. "She's an inspiration to not only her community but to America as well. We can't wait for Friday!"

In addition to Asia'h Epperson, the Brass Quartet from the Springfield Symphony will perform God Bless America.

Saturday's anthem will be performed by one of Branson's newest acts, the Rankin Brothers from Welk Resort.

If you don't have tickets for Friday and Saturday's games against the St. Louis Cardinals, don't forget that the games will be televised on KY3 and the Ozarks' CW, respectively. The games can also be heard live on JOCK 98.7 FM as well as online at www.springfieldcardinals.com.

Gates Open in Time for Batting Practice!

Gates for Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals will open to the public at 5:00pm. This will ensure that fans can get inside and watch the St. Louis Cardinals take batting practice. Gates for Saturday's game will again open early, as they will open at 11am for the 1:10pm game.
