Lewiston MAINEiacs News Release
The MAINEiacs finished a grueling 3 games in 3 nights road trip this past weekend where they come home with 4 points out of a possible 6. Lewiston enters this weekend's games winning four of their last five games and in their last five games at home they are 4-1-0-0. At home this season the MAINEiacs are 10-4-0-0 good for 5th place in the QMJHL.
The MAINEiacs opponent on Friday, November 23rd is the Val-d'Or Foreurs. In their only meeting this season the MAINEiacs lost in overtime 3-2 on October 21st in Val'd'Or. MAINEiacs fans will see Val-d'Or forward Jonathan Paquet for the first time since he dawned a MAINEiacs jersey in 2005-2006. Paquet played 53 games scoring seven points for the MAINEiacs two years ago where he was known for his gritty play and occasional fist-a-cuffs to change the momentum. In 2006-07 Paquet was one of the last cuts in training camp and went on to play Midget AAA where he put up impressive numbers. The Foreurs then drafted Paquet this year and in 25 games he has registered 9 points. Val'd-Or players to watch #17 Brad Marchand (Boston Bruins draft pick), #98 Marc-Andre Cote, and #10 Julius Sinkovic.
On Sunday, November 25th Eastern division rival, the St. John's Fog Devils roll into town for their fourth meeting with the MAINEiacs this season. The MAINEiacs are 2-1-0-0 against the Fog Devils, winning their only meeting in Lewiston 7-2 back on October 5th. The MAINEiacs split with the Foggies in St. John's back on November 9th and 10th, losing 8-2 and winning 2-1 in a shootout. Fog Devils forward #19 Luke Adam has registered seven points in three games against the MAINEiacs including four goals in the thrid period in the MAINEiacs 8-2 loss. Other players to watch include #4 Jean-Simon Allard (Buffalo Sabres draft pick), #14 Wesley Welcher, #10 Mario Kempe (Philadelphis Flyers draft pick), and goaltender #89 Timo Pielmeier (San Jose Sharks draft pick).

Upcoming Promotions
The MAINEiacs have been distributing discount ticket vouchers to various businesses in the Lewiston Auburn area. This week fans may pick up the $10 ticket vouchers at Simones' Hot Dogs at 99 Chestnut Street in Lewiston, Central Maine Medical Center, St. Mary's Hospital, and Mid-Coast Hospital in Brunswick.These vouchers are valid for the November 23rd game against Val-d'Or.
Anyone who brings in a frozen turkey to the MAINEiacs front office, or to the Sisters of Charity Food Pantry, will receive a voucher for $8 discounted tickets to the November 23 game. Other November 23 promotions include the 5nd annual MAINEiacs turkey bowling championship, and Chuck-A-Puck benefiting Maine Event Cheer.
On November 25, The U.S. Marines will be collecting toys for Toys for Tots. Also, the MAINEiacs will be bringing back Home Run Derby, and will be putting a new twist on the Rapid Fire intermission game. Chuck-A-Puck will benefit L-A Gymnastics.
Sunday, November 25 is Family Fun Day the ultimate family experience! Family Four Packs start at $44 and includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs or 4 popcorns, and 4 sodas. Additional tickets available in $11 increments.
