Lewiston MAINEiacs News Release

Lewiston, ME - The Lewiston MAINEiacs find themselves back in the win column with a 6-3 victory over the Saint John Sea Dogs. After rattling off 13 consecutive victories, the MAINEiacs had dropped their last 3 games and came into tonight's game ready to reverse the trend. In the first period, Marc-Andre Crete scored his first career goal with the help of Dave Taylor and Danick Paquette.

In the second, the MAINEiacs exploded with 5 unanswered goals to take a 6-0 lead after 40 minutes. Eric Castonguay scored his 10th on the season, followed by Christ Tutalo's 9th, scored with the man advantage. Marc-Andre Daneau recorded his 13th on the year short-handed on a goal that would chase Sea Dogs netminder Maxime Joyal from the game. Dave Taylor would notch his 4th on the year followed by Tutalo scoring his second of the game.

In the third period, the momentum would shift, as Saint John would reply with 3 unanswered goals of their own, but it would be to little too late. Scoring for the Sea Dogs was Schutz, Bergin and Liske.

Tonight mark Lewiston netminder Marc-Andre Perron's first game this year and he delivered a solid performance, good enough the night's second star.

In Lewy's Loot Shoot tonight, our contestant missed the open net from center ice, making Friday night's shot worth $800!
