
Maineiacs Chaput & Carrier Ranked By Central Scouting

LEWISTON, ME -- The Lewiston MAINEiacs are pleased to announce that defenseman Samuel Carrier and forward Michael Chaput have been ranked in the top 25 QMJHL skaters list, released by Central Scouting.
Carrier, 17, was ranked 10th overall for QMJHL skaters. In 21 games this season, Carrier has posted three goals and nine assists. He was acquired by the MAINEiacs in a trade with Quebec in June.
Chaput, 17, was ranked the 19th best skater in the QMJHL. Chaput is second on the team in goals scored this season with eight. The 2008 first-round draft pick of Lewiston, has registered a total of 10 points in 23 games this season.
The Moncton Wildcats posted a strong showing on the list, as Brandon Gormley and Kirill Kabanov were ranked first and second respectively; while goaltender Louis Domingue was rated as the top goaltender in the QMJHL.
The Fall report is a preliminary ranking, which rated the top 25 skaters for each of the top four junior hockey leagues in North America (QMJHL, OHL, WHL, and USHL).
