Maher Earns USL Team of the Week Honors

ST. LOUIS - Parker Maher has been named to the USL Team of the Week after scoring his first goal of the season in Saint Louis FC's 2-1 victory over Charlotte Independence on Saturday night.
The Joplin, Mo., native found the back of the net in the 6th minute of Saturday's match at Charlotte. After playing a ball out wide to Patrick Doody, Maher continued his run to the far post where he connected with a diving header to give his side the early 1-0 lead.
Maher has been one of the most consistent and durable players on the STL FC roster this season, making starts in all but two of Saint Louis' 16 games in all competitions. In USL play, he is third on the team in minutes played (1,115), trailing only Sam Fink and Bryan Gaul.
With the honor, Maher becomes the eighth STL FC player to be named to the USL Team of the Week this season. For the complete Team of the Week, click here.
Saint Louis FC returns home to face Richmond Kickers on Saturday at World Wide Technology Soccer Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
