Moncton Magic News Release
Moncton, NB. - The Moncton Magic's recent trade with the Windsor Express has been rescinded.
The trade was announced last Sunday, January 12th, which would send Moncton's Billy White to the Express for Canadian guard Kemy Osse and the protected player rights to Ty Walker to the Magic.
The Magic were notified by the league on Thursday evening, January 16th, that in fact the Express were not permitted to trade the protected rights to Ty Walker, as Walker had attended the teams training camp in December ultimately not making the teams final roster, which in turn then forfeited the Express's rights to Walker.
Due to all pieces of the original trade not being granted, there were grounds for the rescind, which was finalized between the Magic and the Express Saturday, sending White back to Moncton, and Osse back to Windsor.
Head Coach and GM of Player Personal Joe Salerno says he has been in touch with White as of yesterday afternoon and is confident White will be back in uniform with the Magic this week.
