Greenville SC: The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that Matt MacKenzie has been recalled to the Rochester Americans.

MacKenzie, 21, played in two games with the Road Warriors scoring one powerplay goal. The New Westminster, British Columbia native has also spent nine games with the Rochester Americans this year in the AHL. MacKenzie was selected by the Sabres in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft in the third round, 83rd overall.

The Road Warriors return home for Warrior Appreciation Night on Wednesday November 28, 2012 against Reading at 7 p.m. The special night will salute the men and women who keep our country safe on the EquilifeMD rink at the BI-LO Center. There will be discounted tickets for all active and retired military, police, fire and first responders. In addition, the Road Warriors will wear special Warrior Appreciation Night jerseys in honor of those who protect us. After the game, the Road Warriors will auction of the jerseys to benefit the Wounded Warrior Regiment, the Rama Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Greenville Fire Department and the Harold C. Jennings Foundation. The City of Greenville will showcase a SWAT Truck, ATV, Police Charger, Patrol Car, K-9 Unit Tahoe and Police Dog in the Charter Business Plaza. Greenville County will also showcase a SWAT Truck and the Greenville Fire Department will provide a fire truck. WCCP Talk.Sports. will also be broadcasting from the main entrance from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday leading up to the puckdrop. Road Warriors Players and Head Coach Dean Stork will be interviewed live on-air.
