Machine training camp on the North shore May 6

Chicago Machine News Release


Tomorrow, the Chicago Machine will begin its second weekend of training camp. The team will be practicing at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview where fans are invited to come and watch the team during their open session from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Youth lacrosse enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to learn from the pros tomorrow at 1:00pm when the Machine players are offering a free one-hour youth clinic to teach those who are interested in learning more about lacrosse. Whether a beginner or someone who is no stranger to the sport of lacrosse, these professional lacrosse players are excited to get on the field with anyone interested in coming to the clinic to teach them lacrosse skills and techniques.

During training camp, the public will have the opportunity to watch stand-out lacrosse players including Doug Shanahan, Kevin Leveille, and Todd Rassas as they prepare for the upcoming inaugural season which begins on May 20th in Denver against the Denver Outlaws and then kicks off on their home turf at the Sports Complex of Benedictine University - "Home of the Machine" - on June 3rd against the San Francisco Dragons.

Saturday, May 6, 2006 @ Glenbrook South High School (4000 W. Lake Ave., Glenview, IL)
1:00-2:00pm - Free Youth Clinic
2:00-4:00pm - Training Camp (Open to the public)
*The lacrosse field is located just east of the tennis courts

Saturday, May 13, 2006 @ Wheaton College (501 College Ave., Wheaton, IL)
1:00-2:00pm - Free Youth Clinic
2:00-4:00pm - Training Camp (Open to the public)
*The lacrosse field is located in the soccer stadium at East McCully Field
