BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, October 18, 2006 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League disciplinary committee imposed a two game suspension today to Cape Breton forward Brendon MacDonald.
The suspension follows an incident that occurred in a game against the Sea Dogs last Sunday in which MacDonald illegally kneed an opposing player.
The decision was rendered after viewing the videotape of the incident and consulting all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.
In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
