Brent Aubin named the CHL Player of the Week

Toronto - The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Quebec Remparts forward Brent Aubin is the CHL Player of the Week.

Aubin was named the CHL's Player of the Week after scoring nine goals, including one game-winner, and 14 points. Aubin, over his last four games contributed in 14 of Quebec's 23 team goals (60.9%). Leading his team in the first two games of the week, Aubin collected six points in a 6-2 win against Chicoutimi. Aubin continued with another multi-point night as he chipped in for five points in a Remparts 8-7 shoot-out win over the Shawinigan Cataractes. In both games, Aubin earned First Star Honors, and has scored at least one goal in each of his last nine games and sits eighth in QMJHL scoring.

Sam Gagner of the London Knights was the OHL Player of the Week after scoring 14 points in four games. Andrew Perugini of the Barrie Colts was the ADT CHL goaltender of the week, recording three wins, including a shut-out and posting a 1.00 goals-against-average and .966 save percentage. Andrew Clark of the Brandon Wheat Kings was the WHL Player of the Week after scoring three goals and 11 points, including two power-play goals in four games. Taylor Dakers of the Kootenay Ice was the WHL Goaltender of the Week posting a 2-0-0-1 record. Patrik Prokop of the Shawinigan Cataractes was named the QMJHL's Defensive Player of the Week after registering seven assists and maintaining a +5 (plus/minus) differential in four games.
