Mississippi Braves News Release
PEARL, MS - Fans visiting Trustmark Park this summer will notice some substantial new additions designed to add to the comfort level while taking in a Mississippi Braves game.
The M-Braves will be installing 16 large fans that are manufactured to decrease the ambient temperature by up to 10° F.
"We are always listening to our fans, and one of the most frequent questions asked on a hot summer night is for us to turn up the air conditioning at the ballpark," added Braves Vice President/General Manager Steve DeSalvo. "We have addressed that issue by adding some large fans to Trustmark Park. These new cooling fans will allow our patrons to enjoy the game a little more comfortably. We know that Mississippi Braves games are a lot of fun and we are always looking to enhance and invest in the gameday experience."
These large cooling fans will be fixed all around Trustmark Park. There will be six 12-foot fans located around the lower concourse and eight 10-foot fans on the suite level, including one on each of the Mitchell Signs Party Decks located on the first base and third base side of the suite level. Lastly, there will be two 84-inch fans placed at the Yuengling Picnic Pavilion located down the third base line.
These heavy-duty fans were manufactured specifically for Trustmark Park and outdoor use, taking advantage of the latest technology with silent motors and adjustable speeds that will push over 100 RPMs.
