THURSDAY'S LYNX GAME LYNX IMPROVE TO 3-0 FOR FIRST TIME IN FRANCHISE HISTORY LYNX 75, CHICAGO 69 Seimone Augustus scored 19 points and Charde Houston collected nine of her 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Lynx held on for a 75-69 victory at Chicago on Thursday night at the UIC Pavilion. Anna DeForge's jumper staked Minnesota to a 14-9 lead midway through the opening quarter, but Candice Dupree capped an 8-2 start to the second that put the Sky on top 23-20. After back-to-back treys from DeForge and Augustus reclaimed the lead for Minnesota, Chicago finished the half with a 12-4 push to go ahead 38-34. Sylvia Fowles gave the Sky their biggest lead of the night at 46-38 with 5:33 left in the third, before Augustus started a 12-1 response and the Lynx carried a 55-54 advantage into the final period. Chicago erased a six-point deficit when Dupree's jumper knotted it at 66-66 with 1:42 to play. However, Nicky Anosike's basket was followed by a 3-pointer from Candice Wiggins, and Minnesota sealed the win behind free throws from Augustus and Houston. Fowles topped Chicago with 16 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks, while Dupree finished with 12 points.
