PORTLAND, Nov. 2, 2006 - With the season less than 60 days away, the Jax are continuing their activity in the Portland community to promote the team was well as their partners. The Jax will take part in various events this weekend as they increase their community outreach efforts.

The Portland LumberJax will hold their Second Annual Open Tryouts, sponsored by Scion, for the 2007 season at 2 p.m. at the Tualatin Indoor Soccer Center. Registration takes place at 1 p.m. Hopefuls will compete for an opportunity to become a part of the Jax training camp sessions that will take place from mid-November to mid-December. Jax staff will also be onsite from 1-3 p.m. at the 27th Annual Portland Ski and Snowboard Show at the Portland Expo Center located at 2060 North Marine Drive, Portland, Oregon 97217. Portland Winter sports fanatics at the show can stop by the LumberJax table located next to the KATU Channel 2 booth to receive a 2007 LumberJax poster and meet the SunsUp Tanning Jax Dance Team.

The Portland LumberJax will be part of a 94.7 KNRK (Alternative Rock) promotion with NAPA Auto Parts from noon until 2 p.m. Jax 2006 All-Star Ryan Sharp will be onsite along with the 2007 SunsUp Tanning Jax Dancers signing posters and distributing collateral. Fans can enter for a chance to win tickets to the LumberJax home opener on Dec. 30, 2006 at 7 p.m. Come out to NAPA Auto Parts located at 16102 SE Division, Gresham, Ore. to learn more details.

The Jax open their second season at home in the Rose Garden on Dec. 30, 2006 at 7 p.m. Season Tickets for the LumberJax start as low as $90. Packages include the eight regular season home games and the 2007 NLL All Star Game. Enjoy the benefits of being a Season Ticket Holder! Also, it's not too early to plan ahead for friends and family or company outings. Receive discounts when you bring a group of fifteen or more. Tickets for the National Lacrosse League (NLL) 2007 All-Star Game are now on sale. The game will take place on March 10, 2007 at the Rose Garden, home of the Portland LumberJax.
