Shamrox sign Livingstone and Montour

CHICAGO, IL November 2, 2006 - The Chicago Shamrox signed NLL seasoned defender Carter Livingstone and veteran forward Tom Montour to one-year deals, in preparation for their upcoming season of indoor professional lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) starting in January at the Sears Centre arena.

Carter Livingstone, 6'4" 210 lbs. has played in 51 games, scooped up 115 loose balls and tallied 48 career penalty minutes. Livingstone is a 5-year NLL veteran started his career by winning back to back Champions Cups with the Toronto Rock in 2002 and 2003.

Tom Montour, 6'0" 170lbs. also played for the 2003 Toronto Rock Champions Cup team and is a versatile NLL veteran with 13 goals and 23 assists for 36 total points in 24 games. In addition to putting balls in the net, Montour also scooped up 86 loose balls throughout his career.

"We are excited to finalize our strong expansion draft by signing Livingstone and Montour, two more players with Champions Cup experience," said Shamrox GM/Head Coach Jamie Batley. "Livingstone provides our defense with experience and talent and Montour brings a well rounded NLL veteran into our transition mix."
