Muskegon, MI - The Muskegon Lumberjacks have acquired Laine McKay from the Des Moines Buccaneers.
McKay is in first season with the United States Hockey League. The 6'2", 194 lbs. forward recorded one goal and three assists in nine games with the Buccaneers.
The Merrimack College commit is from Thunder Bay, Ontario, and spent last season playing in his home province for the Hamilton Red Wings of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. McKay registered 22 goals and 26 assists in 52 games with the Red Wings.
The Buccaneers received a conditional sixth round draft pick.
