MUSKEGON, Mich. (November 14, 2011) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks and Bluechip Athletic Solutions are proud to announce they have been honored with a W3 Award and Davey Award for superior web design.
The Lumberjacks, whose site is located at muskegonlumberjacks.com, are the first hockey team to receive these awards in tandem. Bluechip powers the websites of many elite level athletic programs, including several SEC powerhouse schools; the innovative company is in its first year partnering with the Jacks.
"We have taken steps to improve our team's brand, profile and Internet presence, and this award is just the latest confirmation of how well our efforts have been received," said Lumberjacks Owner and CEO Josh Mervis. "Our partners at Bluechip Athletic Solutions have joined us to build one of the most exciting digital platforms in hockey anywhere."
The W3 Awards annually recognize outstanding websites, web marketing and web video. Receiving over 2,700 entries, the awards are given to only the most superlative work across a broad array of companies and agencies of all sizes.
The Davey Awards are international creative awards focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small firms and honor achievement in creative ideas, intelligence and out-of-the-box thinking.
The Muskegon Lumberjacks are proud members of the United States Hockey League, which is celebrating its 10th season as the only Tier 1 junior hockey league in 2011-12. The league has 164 players signed to NHL rosters and 280 players signed with NCAA Division 1 programs.
Bluechip Athletic Solutions is a sports marketing outfit that provides a unique blend of strategy, technology and services. The company helps clients deliver relevant information and cogent messages to targeted audiences.
"It is an honor to receive such a prestigious award," said Steve Kennedy, founder and CEO of Bluechip.
