Luke Judson Wins Jake Gilmour Memorial Award

March 10, 2010 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Belleville Bulls News Release

Belleville Bulls Captain Luke Judson was named the winner of the 2009-2010 Jake Gilmour Memorial Award in a ceremony held prior to the Bulls game against the Oshawa Generals on Wednesday night. The award is named in honour of former Bulls forward Jake Gilmour.

Bulls' fans vote on the award annually based on the player who best demonstrated the qualities shown by Gilmour while he was a member of the Bulls. Those qualities include pride in the Belleville Bulls jersey, passion for the game, respect for teammates and opponents, and a mutual respect with the fans. Jake's mother Rose was on hand to present the award to Judson. Other previous winners of the award include Jeff Leavitt, Andrew Gibbons, Matt Beleskey, and Mike Murphy.

Judson is in his second full season with Belleville and leads the team in goals with 29 while adding 15 assists and 93 penalty minutes in 65 games played. The Emo, Ontario native was named Bulls Captain in January.
