
Luis Sojo on Track for Most Career Wins as FSL Manager

Tampa, FL. - Tampa Yankees Field Manager Luis Sojo is on track this season to have the most career wins by any Manager in the Florida State League.
The current record is set by Luis Dorante who had 418 wins with the Jupiter Hammerheads in 1999-2000, 2002-2004, and 2007. Sojo currently has 409 wins under his belt as Tampa's Manager.
This year marks Sojo's sixth year managing the New York Yankees Single-A Advanced Affiliate. His first year with the Tampa Yankees was in 2006 when the team went 75-62. He was also with the team in 2007 (83-56), 2008 (72-65), and 2009 (77-56). He led the 2009 team to the Florida State League Championship where they defeated the Charlotte Stone Crabs. Sojo took 2010 off from managing and returned in 2011 (74-64). The current team record is 28-34 with the first half coming to a close on June 20th.
Luis Sojo spent the 2004 and 2005 seasons as a coach for the Yankees at the Major League level. A revered clubhouse presence and versatile infielder, played parts of seven seasons with the Yankees (1996-2001, 2003) and contributed to four World Championships (1996, 1998, 1999, and 2000).
