Lugnuts Closer Tice Promoted to Dunedin

LANSING, Mich. - In conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, Lansing Lugnuts closer Ty Tice has been promoted to A-Advanced Dunedin and pitcher Andy Ravel was transferred to Lansing from Extended Spring Training.

Tice, 21, led the Lugnuts with five saves, allowing one unearned run on five in nine innings, walking three and striking out 12 while limiting the league to a microscopic .161 batting average. A native of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Tice was drafted in the 16th round in 2017 from the University of Central Arkansas.

Ravel, 23, has a 2.03 ERA in eight relief appearances for the Lugnuts, giving up four runs (three earned ) in 13 1/3 innings with six walks and ten strikeouts. This is Ravel's second season with Lansing after he was drafted in the seventh round in 2016 from Kent State University.

The official Lugnuts roster is attached, with the maximum 25 active players and eight players on the Disabled List.

The Lugnuts (20-13) open a three-game series tonight at the Beloit Snappers (13-14) at 7:30 p.m. at Pohlman Field. The next Lugnuts home game is a Dog Days of Summer at 7:05 p.m. on Monday, May 14th.
