Lugnuts Activate Prospect Sanchez from DL

LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that touted right-handed pitcher Aaron Sanchez has been activated from the 7-day Disabled List and will start for the Lugnuts against Fort Wayne tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Cooley Law School Stadium.

A native of Barstow, California, entered the 2012 season rated by Baseball America as the Blue Jays' #6 ranked prospect in the organization. More recently, BA honored the 20-year-old as the top pitching prospect in the Midwest League in their annual "tools" magazine. Sanchez began the season with 20 consecutive scoreless innings, allowing only four earned runs in 52 innings pitched between April, May and June combined. The native of Barstow, California, currently boasts an 8-2 record with a 2.36 ERA, .186 average against, and 84 strikeouts in 76 1/3 innings.

The Lugnuts' roster comprises 25 active players, with four players on the Disabled List and one on the Temporarily Inactive List.
