Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs announced on Tuesday that local businesses and fans can show their support for local military members and families by sponsoring them for the IceHogs game on Friday, April 7 against the Quad City Mallards. Also, military members can receive a discount on their tickets for the game by showing their military I.D at the MetroCentre Box Office.
The IceHogs will honor local military members and pay tribute to our Armed Forces who are protecting our Freedom. IceHogs fans have an opportunity to sponsor a local military family for the game by purchasing tickets at a discounted group rate.
If you wish to sponsor a Military Group to the game on April 7, there are three packages to choose from:
Red Package: 10 Tickets $110
White Package: 25 Tickets $275
Blue Package: 50 Tickets $550
All tickets are good for Mezzanine Sideline seats. Each organization or fan that purchases a ticket package to donate to a military family will also receive recognition on the scoreboard at the game, over the public address and in the IceHogs game day program. All donations are tax deductible as well.
Military members can also purchase tickets at a discounted rate at the MetroCentre Box Office for the April 7 contest against the Mallards. Present your Military I.D. at the Box Office and you can purchase tickets for the Executive Level Endzones ($12) and Mezzanine Level Sidelines ($9) at $4 off the original ticket price. An arena service charge will apply to all tickets.
During the April 7 game, the IceHogs will wear special, commemorative jerseys reflecting a military theme. All the jerseys will be auctioned off immediately following the game during a live auction at the Rockford MetroCentre. All proceeds from the auction will go to the IceHogs Charitable Foundation who will distribute the proceeds to several local not-for-profit charities including, but not limited to, the MDA, Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts, Northern Illinois Hospice, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs and the Jr. IceHogs.

Next Home Game: Friday, April 7 vs. Quad City Mallards. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. Rockford will hold its Annual Jersey Auction for charity following the game in the final meeting with the Mallards. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a T-shirt featuring the Lt. Hammy logo courtesy of Saturn of Rockford, Dental Dimensions, Axberg Heating and 13WREX.
