Louisville City To Take on Charleston in October 3 Playoff Match

Louisville, KY (September 26, 2015) -- With the wild finish in Charleston tonight Louisville City FC will host the Charleston Battery on Saturday, October 3 at Louisville Slugger Field in a USL Eastern Conference semifinal match. The three-seeded Battery scored twice in the second period of extra time to comeback and defeat the Richmond Kickers 2-1 in the USL Quarterfinals.

Louisville City defeated Charleston 3-1 back on August 22nd at Slugger. In the most recent matchup between the two clubs in Charleston on September 9, it was the Battery who got a 2-0 victory.

The match on Saturday, October 3 is set to kickoff at 7:30 PM at Slugger Field. It will be the third time the teams have met, but none will be as important as this with the winner moving on to the Eastern Conference finals the following week.

In what will certainly be the biggest match to date in Louisville City's history, another big crowd is expected to be on hand. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting LouisvilleCityFC.com/playoffs.
