Louisiana's Jeff Grant Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (November 26, 2013) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Jeff Grant of the Louisiana IceGators is the Easton Player of the Week for November 18-24.

Grant scored two goals, including one game-winner, added three assists and was +5 in leading the IceGators to a pair of wins over Bloomington last weekend.

The Burlington, MA native scored a pair of goals on Friday, including the game-winner early in the third period, as Louisiana doubled up the Thunder 4-2. Grant came back on Saturday with a three-assist night in a 5-2 over Bloomington.

Grant signed with the IceGators this summer after four seasons with the Mississippi Surge, where he scored 41 goals and added 81 assists. Grant played collegiately at UMass-Dartmouth, where he finished tied as the Corsairs' all-time leader in goals (67) and ranks third in career points (144).
