Los Angeles Wildcats Spend Day off with Los Angeles Unified Students

CARSON, CALIF. - Seven of the XFL LA Wildcats players took time Monday, during their only off-day of the week, to speak to and meet with students from Carson High School and Carnegie Middle School, both of which are part of Los Angeles Unified. The players offered words of wisdom and inspiration to the youth, encouraging them to follow their dreams and not give up.
"You can achieve anything you want to be," said Linebacker Quentin Gause. "You can be an artist, a lawyer, a doctor. Put your mind to it. I challenge you to go home and write 10 goals for your life. Put them up in your room knowing that you can achieve them."
RB Larry Rose III, LB Quentin Gause, TE Brandon Barnes, OL Dwayne Wallace, SAF Ladarius Wiley, CB Roman Tatum and SAF Jerome Couplin III were eager to give back to the community as both schools are just down the road from the team's home of Dignity Health Sports Park. All of the players took photos, signed autographs and even tossed a football with many of the kids.
"The biggest thing you can do is dream," said Tatum. "No one can take your dreams from you. Chase your dreams. Be yourself and be all that you can be."
"Do the best you can do in school, handle your business, respect your teachers. Do what you can to make it out of your comfort zone," said Rose. "The best thing you can do is set the bar high and do everything you can to achieve your dream."
The Wildcats' next home game is this Sunday, March 8 at 6pm from Dignity Health Sports Park against the Tampa Bay Vipers, live on ESPN.
