Thousand Oaks, CA (4/2009) - The Los Angeles Lightning have signed retired NBA guard Bryon Russell, officially announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Selected by the Utah Jazz in the second round (45th Pick) of the 1993 NBA Draft, Russell made a name for himself as a career leader in three-point percentage.
Lightning Owner and General Manager Mark Harwell remarked, "We are ecstatic to bring Byron into the Lightning family. His veteran expertise will prove invaluable for close in-game situations and the development of our younger players".
