
Los Angeles' Jamario Moon Signs with Charlotte Bobcats

NEW YORK, April 15, 2012 - The Charlotte Bobcats today signed Los Angeles D-Fenders forward Jamario Moon for the record 52nd GATORADE Call-Up of the 2011-12 NBA Development League season. Moon joins more than 100 NBA players with NBA D-League experience currently on 2011-12 rosters.
Moon (6-8, 215, Meridian Community College) appeared in 12 games, 10 starts, for the D-Fenders during the regular season, averaging 17.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.3 blocks and 37.8 minutes. In one postseason game for Los Angeles, Moon scored 25 points and grabbed five rebounds in 39 minutes.
A four-year NBA veteran who last spent time with the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2009-10 season, Moon has played in 278 career NBA games, 157 as a starter. During his four-year NBA career, Moon averaged 6.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 22.8 minutes per game. In 19 career NBA playoff games, Moon averaged 4.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 13.5 minutes.
Moon is expected to join the Bobcats today and be available on Sunday when the team hosts the Boston Celtics.
