Landing in Los Angeles hours before game time, Albright started and played 62 minutes for the Galaxy against the Dynamo, while teammate Landon Donovan, who played in all three USA World Cup matches, attended in support of his teammates but did not dress. Albright and Donovan's homecoming could not have come at a better time, as the Galaxy are looking for its first win since April 29 and first victory under new head coach Frank Yallop. Both players are expected to be available for this weekend's match in Kansas City.

GALAXY TRADE DUNIVANT, WAIVE SARAGOSA: The Los Angeles Galaxy traded defender Todd Dunivant to the New York Red Bulls in exchange for an allocation on May 27. Also on May 27, the Galaxy placed midfielder Marcelo Saragosa, who appeared in 40 games for L.A. from 2004-2006, on waivers.

LOOKING FOR A WIN: The Galaxy tie on June 24 with the Houston Dynamo pushed the club's record to 2-10-3. The Galaxy has only had one losing season in team history, enduring a 9-12-9 campaign in 2003.
