NEW YORK, March 29, 2012 - The Los Angeles Clippers today re-assigned rookie guard Travis Leslie to the Bakersfield Jam, the Clippers' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment marks the record 60th time an NBA player has been assigned to his NBA D-League affiliate during the 2011-12 season and is the second assignment for Leslie.
Leslie (6-4, 205, Georgia) returns to the Jam having appeared in four games earlier this month, when he averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 21.0 minutes. In 10 games for the Clippers this season, he is averaging 1.4 points and 0.9 rebounds in 4.5 minutes. He scored a career-high six points in a 107-81 win over the Washington Wizards on Feb. 4, 2012.
Originally selected in the second round (47th overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft, Leslie is expected to join the Jam today and be available tomorrow when the team hosts the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
