LOS ANGELES - Even though it is the off-season, Avenger players and coaches regularly visit schools, hospitals and community events.
This week, Assistant head football coach Brent Winter and former Avenger and current Las Vegas Gladiator defensive specialist Traco Rachal spent Wednesday, July 19 at the Chadwick School football clinic in the city of Palos Verdes Peninsula. Rachal and his fellow Chadwick coaches and Coach Winter took the opportunity to pass along their football knowledge to over 60 participants from the ages of 9-14.
"I love helping these kids out with their football skills," Coach Winter said. "I also like to stress the importance of having fun while playing football and sportsmanship."
Chadwick School, founded in 1935 by visionary educator Margaret Lee Chadwick is the only K-12 independent, college preparatory day school in the greater South Bay area of Los Angeles. Chadwick currently enrolls approximately 815 students on a campus that provides a beautiful and safe setting conducive to serious study, vigorous play and companionship among friends.
The school is dedicated to academic excellence and to the development of self-confident individuals of good character.
