Las Vegas Locomotives News Release

LAS VEGAS, NV - Tuesday, March 1, 2011 - The players, coaches and staff of the Las Vegas Locos will celebrate their back-to-back United Football League championships and receive their 2010 Championship rings on Monday, March 21 at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Nevada.

The Locos, led by Head Coach and General Manager JIM FASSEL, who has since been named team President, defeated the Florida Tuskers for a second time in the UFL Championship Game, with a final score of 23-20 at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday, November 27, 2010. The Locos also beat the Tuskers 20-17 to win the inaugural UFL crown in 2009.

The Locos players and entire coaching staff will be joined by invited guests and VIPs as they receive their rings at Green Valley Ranch at 7pm on Monday, March 21. Media are invited to attend the Ring Ceremony and should contact Travis Cochran for further details: Travis.Cochran@UFL-Football.com / 702-408-8239.

"We are immensely proud of what this team has accomplished in two seasons and as everyone will tell you, it is a tough task to repeat as champions in any sport," said Coach Fassel. "We are excited for the ceremony as it gives us a chance to reconnect with players and fans. The season ended quickly, so it is nice to have a chance to celebrate what we have accomplished and then get back to work on winning a third championship."

The team posted a 5-3 regular season record before defeating the Tuskers in the Championship Game. Quarterback CHASE CLEMENT will be among the players receiving their rings on March 21. He was named the Championship Game MVP after completing 16 of 25 pass attempts for 237 yards and two touchdowns having taken over the starting job that was originally held by TIM RATTAY, who suffered a season-ending injury after Week 5 of the season.

"It feels good," said Clement after the Championship Game victory. "It's crazy the way it worked out. You start the season off as No. 3...not the way I thought it was going to end, but it was awesome."
