Locomotives Visit Nellis Air Force Base for "Locos Sports & Fitness Day"

LAS VEGAS - The Las Vegas Locomotives (Locos) will visit NellisHYPERLINK "http://www.nellis.af.mil/" Air Force Base Friday, Aug. 5 from noon to 2:30 p.m. to co-host a Locos Sports and Fitness Day by teaching children, youth football players and service members about football and the overall importance of athletics, health and nutrition.
Las Vegas Locos Head Coach Jim Fassel, Locos players, dance team members and staff will be on hand for the event that benefits more than 9,000 Airmen at Nellis and their families. Local members of the Army, Navy and Marines have also been invited to attend the event.
"This is an amazing opportunity for our entire organization to support those who make sacrifices for our freedom on a daily basis," said Coach Fassel. "I want this team to be an integral part of the Las Vegas community and we couldn't be more excited to join all the great men and women at Nellis for this event."
Clinics will be taught by Locos players, dance team members, coaches and staff on various topics including football technique, fitness and eating right at the Nellis Youth Center. More than 200 children and adults including Airmen and women, parents of those involved in Nellis Youth Clubs and Pop Warner football teams are expected to participate in this exciting and educational event. The day will conclude with a tour of the base and flight line for members of the Locos organization.
