
Local Radio Station Lends Their Voice to the Colorado Ice

Fort Collins, CO- The Colorado Ice Professional Indoor Football team is proud to announce that 1310 KFKA AM out of Greeley, Colorado will be the host radio station for the 2012 season.
KFKA's News Anchor and Sports Director, Troy Coverdale, will be the voice of the Ice, bringing fans the play by play coverage for both home and away games. Coverdale will also host The Colorado Ice Coach's Show with Head Coach, Heron O'Neal, on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. each week during the 2012 season. Coverdale and O'Neal will recap the action and highlights from the previous game as well as discuss the upcoming game and news from around the league.
"I want to give the fans an inside look on what's happening on the field," said Troy Coverdale. "Also, there is so much that goes into putting a team on the field and I want to show fans that side as well."
Both Coach O'Neal and Coverdale would like the coach's show to be interactive. Fans are encouraged to post questions to the Colorado Ice's Facebook page so that they can be answered on air.
KFKA and the Ice are renewing their partnership for the 2012 season and the Ice are excited to have a station of this caliber as their voice in Northern Colorado.
KFKA is known as Colorado's first licensed radio station. They first signed on air in May, 1921 and have been broadcasting news to Northern Colorado ever since. KFKA strives to entertain the listening audience while being informative. Local, state and national shows as well as sports and church programs are featured by KFKA.
