
Local Heroes Week Begins Tonight at Hangar

LANCASTER, Calif. - The JetHawks annual Local Heroes Week kicks off Monday night at The Hangar. The Antelope Valley's first responders will be honored during each game for the remainder of the homestand and the week will culminate with the Fallen Heroes Charity Softball Tournament on Sunday at the ballpark.
Local Heroes Week Schedule:
Monday, July 7: American Medical Response & Department of Corrections Tuesday, July 8: L.A. County Sheriffs Wednesday, July 9: California Highway Patrol Thursday, July 10: Fire Department
The first responder agencies will have vehicle and concourse displays for fans to enjoy and each officer/first responder will receive four free tickets to their agency's game.
The Fallen Heroes Charity Softball Tournament will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 13. The event is free to the public and is expected to end at 5 p.m.
The tournament will feature teams of local heroes and first responders from each of the Local Heroes Week agencies.
The day will also include a Car Show presented by the High Desert Cruisers Board of Directors, an inflatable fun zone for kids, a 50/50 raffle and music and entertainment.
The JetHawks take on Dodgers affiliate Rancho Cucamonga at 6:30 p.m. on Monday and play a three game series with Angels affiliate Inland Empire beginning on Tuesday.
