Local Clubs Honored By Storm

Chicago (Thursday, January 26th, 2006) -It's Champions Week! It's the week when the Chicago Storm honors the local club teams who have won various tournaments and leagues throughout the Chicago land area. This Sunday a 4 pm, the Storm will bring out boys and girls teams from Darien, Hinsdale, Palatine, Buffalo Grove and more to be honored for their accomplishments. In an effort to constantly be a presence in our community Storm players will be hosting clinics for the Demons soccer club at the Orland Park Sportsplex this week. Novi and Zlatko Zebic will be putting the club through their drills on Monday the 31st. For information on how your club can get a Storm player for a day call (312) 226-4625.

Wednesday, February 1st, the Chicago Storm will be going to the Hurley School located on the South Side of Chicago for our School Assembly Program. Denny Clanton, Matt Johnson, Matthew Stewart and Semir Mesanovic will teach the benefits of hard work and clean living as well as showing off some great soccer skills to the children. Let's try this again! Denny Clanton was original slated to be on the morning break two weeks ago. Due to scheduling problems he wasn't able to get on. Well this week we got him. Thursday, February 2nd, the Storm's silent defender Denny Clanton gets his turn to speak on "the Morning Break" Chicago's new sports talk radio. Listen in to Denny's thoughts on the season and more at 1240 AM in Chicago and the northern suburbs and 1470 AM in Chicago Heights. All questions will be fielded at (773) 792-1240.

When Storm Forward Jorge Valle is not on the turf helping Chicago win, he's teaming up with Nike to host Nike Open Field Nights! Everyone is welcome to attend one of three locations around chicagoland and meet Jorge, sharpen your skills, try on the latest in indoor shoes, play a little 3 v. 3 and most importantly HAVE SOME FUN!
Nike Open Field Nights are held every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Until March.
Wednesday's at INTRASPORTS - Located at 37 W 950 Mason Road in Elgin from 6PM-8PM
Thursday's at SPORTSZONE - Located at 1945 Cornell Avenue in Melrose Park from 5PM-7PM
Friday's at WINDY CITY FIELDHOUSE - Located at 2367 W. Logan Boulevard in Chicago from 6PM-8PM

Chicago Storm's next home game is Sunday January 29th against the Philadelphia Kixx at 4 pm. Chicago's professional indoor soccer team plays its home games at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago and Storm offices are located at 1945 Cornell Ave., in Melrose Park.
