Local athlete selected as Blizzard Player of the Week

(Alexandria, MN) The Minnesota Blizzard Junior "A" Hockey organization is pleased to announce that Andrew Olson has been selected the team's "Player of the Week" for the period of September 26-October 2.

Andrew, a 6'3", 185-pound Forward, is from Alexandria, MN and is the son of Mary Hammargren and Bill Olson. In Minnesota's 6-3 win at Bismarck on Friday, October 1st, Andrew scored his first two goals in a Blizzard uniform. He has collected three points, in the team's first four games.

Last winter, while playing High School hockey, Andrew earned All-Central Lakes Conference honors, in helping the Alexandria Cardinals' grab a share of the CLC Title. The year before, he was named Honorable Mention, to the All-CLC Boys' Hockey squad.

In addition to playing hockey, Andrew enjoys fishing, duck hunting, and playing tennis. Italian cuisine is his favorite food, and "Miracle" is his favorite film.
