New York Lizards News Release
The Long Island Lizards (2-1) will meet the Boston Cannons (3-0) on Saturday evening at 7:00 PM at Nickerson Field on the campus of Boston University. The Lizards are looking for revenge against their Division Rivals after the Cannons won the American Division Title for the first time in 2004. The Lizards had previously won the Division in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
Cattrano Back in Action
Lizards star goaltender Greg Cattrano was put back on the active roster today. Cattrano was on the team's Injured Reserve list for two weeks due to a pulled hamstring injury, and missed the first game of his career at Philadelphia. Cattrano is probable to start on Saturday night.
Cara Dominates North/South All-Star Game
The Lizards top pick in the 2005 MLL Collegiate Draft, Chris Cara, scored six goals and earned Most Valuable Player honors as the South defeated the North, 14-11, in the USILA Division I Men's Lacrosse North-South Senior All-Star Game at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex on Monday. Cara scored the game's first two goals of the game and the South team never trailed. The Lizards selected Cara in the third round (14th overall) of the Collegiate Draft, which was held on June 1st.
