Live Stats added to River Bats web site, game times changed
Release Date: July 3, 2002

BATON ROUGE - The Baton Rouge River Bats now have "live" stats available on their web site www.brriverbats.com for those unable to attend the game.

Fans can see the game boxscore/play-by-play in real time by clicking on the link at the top of the team's home page. The page will automatically refresh every 30 seconds to give the most up-to-date information available.

The service is free of charge, but is only available during home games. The boxscore from all home games will be archived on the web site for fans to view.

Start times for Sunday games have been changed to allow fans more time to get to the ballpark. Games will now start at 1:35 p.m. beginning this Sunday, July 7, against the Montgomery Wings.

The River Bats continue their three-game series against the visiting Americus Arrows with a 3 p.m. doubleheader Thursday, July 4. Tailgating is welcome and the ballpark will remain open after the games for fans to watch the fireworks over the Mississippi River. The gates at Pete Goldsby Field open an hour before game time.

Season tickets and marketing plans still are available. Contact the River Bats office at (225) 344-BATS to purchase tickets or receive information.

Pete Goldsby Field is located next to Memorial Stadium off Interstate 110 near the Governor's Mansion in downtown Baton Rouge.
