Columbus Lions News Release

Columbus, GA (Jan 23, 2008) - The Columbus Lions of the American Indoor Football Association are proud to announce they have re-signed defensive back Eddie Ravenell (6'0", 220) for their pursuit of an AIFA championship.

Ravenell was called for a private workout by the Georgia Force and is on call back for a 2-day waiver. A very physical back, this will be Eddie's third year playing under Head Coach Jason Gibson. Ravenell played college football at North Carolina A&T where he would earn first-team all MEAC. Ravenell brings size and speed to the defense side of the football. "Ravenell is a true veteran of the game", says Head Coach Jason Gibson. "We can not coach experience, so we expect Eddie to be one of our team leaders on the defense and know what is expected of him throughout the upcoming season."
