July 17, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Las Vegas Lights FC News Release
After having 14 consecutive days without a match, Lights FC visited the RGV FC Toros in Edinburg, Texas.
Norwegian defender Morten Bjørshol scored his first goal of the 2022 USL Championship with an impressive strike from outside the box to give Las Vegas a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute.
After going into the halftime break up by one, Lights FC goalkeeper Abraham Romero was able to keep his net untouched with an eight save performance. This was his third clean sheet of the year.
With the victory, the Lights jumped to eighth place in USL Championship's Western Conference with 28 points, only one point out of a playoff spot.
This was the fourth road win for Lights FC in 2022, most for the team in a season. Out of 9 matches away from Cashman Field, Las Vegas has only lost three of them.
