Lights FC entered Saturday's match with their USL Championship playoffs hopes alive after Oakland was defeated earlier in the day. With a win, Las Vegas would clinch a spot in the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Galaxy II's only shot on target in the first half resulted in them opening the score in the 15th minute courtesy of Cameron Dunbar.

The Lights were the team that created the most opportunities, with their persistence paying off with the game-tying goal finding the back of the net with a great play from Danny Trejo off of a Julian Gaines assist in the 33rd minute. This was Trejo's team-leading 14th goal of the season.

Galaxy II kept most of their players in their own half of the field, giving Las Vegas the ball for the greater part of the second half, but the defensive effort from L.A. prevented Lights FC from getting the game winning goal that would get the team through to the playoffs. 1-1 was the final score.

Lights FC broke multiple franchise records during the 2022 USL Championship season, including most wins (12), most road wins (5), most points (45), and least amount of goals conceded in a full season (50).

SCORING SUMMARY:

1-0 Los Angeles - Cameron Dunbar - 15th minute

1-1 Las Vegas - Danny Trejo - 33rd minute
