Lightning Suffer First Loss of 2012
January 14, 2012 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
London Lightning News Release
La Belle Province played host to two of the NBL Canada's playoff locks on Saturday evening. First place London Lightning, carrying a 17-4 record, fell for the first time in the New Year to the Kebs, 102-91.
As usual, the Lightning's Gabe Freeman was able to pull in a double double, with 24 points and 17 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to stop the Kebs who had 5 players in double digits at the end of the game.
"Everything fell apart for us in the fourth," explained Coach Michael Ray Richardson. "We played three quarters and weren't able to perform when it counted."
London gets right back at it tomorrow night against Saint John. The game is at 5pm in New Brunswick.
