London Lightning News Release
(London, ON) - The London Lightning are pleased to announce that we have signed Canadian point guard Alex Johnson for the remainder of the 2018/2019 season. Johnson is a veteran point guard who has spent 5 seasons in the NBLC who will come in help solidify the backcourt right away.
"London has always been a great group of guys who put it all on the line to win a championship and let's just say coming to this London team has been long overdue. I'm ready to help in any way to add to London's winning ways" - Alex Johnson
"First off I think the biggest thing is we're adding a great person to the locker room. This is a guy who's been around the league but I've never heard a bad thing about him. He's going to instantly help our young core and add to the veteran leadership (most of whom he's already played with). At this time of year he's an excellent addition for us as we look to have another championship quality season." - Head Coach Elliott Etherington.
