Lightning Partner with Students, Rembrandt Homes, to Help the Salvation Army

(LONDON, Ontario) - The London Lightning is excited to announce a partnership with Tony Marsman of Rembrandt Homes, the secondary school students of London and The Salvation Army for their home game on Thursday, November 27 against the Moncton Miracles.

The Lightning will have the upper bowl open, thanks to the generosity of Mr. Marsman, a long-time supporter of The Salvation Army, and London Lightning owner, Vito Frijia, next Thursday.

After speaking with a number of secondary school principal's yesterday, secondary school students in the city can purchase a ticket in the upper bowl for $5.00 with all proceeds benefitting The Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Campaign. With a seating capacity of over 3,000, the secondary school students of London have the potential to raise over $15,000 for The Salvation Army, while taking in an exciting London Lightning game.

"The Salvation Army is so grateful for the continued partnership with the London Lightning. This event will help ensure that the most vulnerable in our community are provided with hope and dignity this coming Christmas", said Perron Goodyear, Public Relations and Development Representative.

Since its inception, the London Lightning have been committed to the London community. By engaging youth and forging partnerships with local agencies, the Lightning continues to impact the lives of London's young people.
