Stockton Lightning News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning have signed an internet broadcast agreement with webcast company SportsJuice.com for the 2006 arenafootball2 season, Lightning team president Dan Chapman announced today.
"We're very excited to partner with sportsjuice.com for our internet broadcasts for the upcoming season," said Chapman. "Internet broadcasting is growing in waves, and we feel this gives our fan base a tremendous outlet to follow the team all season long."
The partnership brings Lightning games to the internet airwaves with a link available through the Lightning website at www.stocktonlightning.com. All games will be preceded by a 15-minute pre-game show, with the March 30 opening night broadcast beginning at 6:45 p.m. PT.
"SportsJuice.com is excited to be continuing our webcasting association with af2, now with the Stockton Lightning," said John Onorato, President of SportsJuice.com.
Lightning broadcaster Mike Benton will provide play-by-play commentary, joined by Steve McElroy who will aid the broadcast with color analysis. Benton, 25, is in his first year as the play-by-play voice of the Lightning, and also serves as play-by-play broadcaster with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.
